Retrospective For METALLICA Filmmakers Set
January 8, 2005IFCTV.com is reporting that starting on Thursday, January 13, the Two Boots Pioneer Theater in New York will host the first-ever retrospective of films by Bruce Sinofsky and Joe Berlinger, co-directors of the acclaimed 2004 documentary "Metallica: Some Kind of Monster".
The talented duo began their collaboration with "Brother's Keeper" in 1992, documenting the trial of an elderly farmer accused of killing his brother. The award-winning work was followed in 1996 by "Paradise Lost", about another trial, this one about three teenagers accused of viciously killing three children, and its sequel, "Revelations: Paradise Lost 2".
The retrospective will also include some of the pair’s lesser-known works, such as Berlinger's "Gray Matter", the filmmaker’s journey to a Nazi clinic in which children were killed so that scientists could study their brains, and Sinofsky's "Hollywood High", a star-studded look at drugs and the movies.
